“第一届藏文梵文研习营”将在四川大学举办

 

四川大学西部中国研究中心、哈佛大学费正清中国研究中心合作研究中心拟于7月1日至15日举办“第一届藏文梵文研习营”,由四川大学中国藏学研究所承办。

研习营将由来自四川大学和哈佛大学、剑桥大学、牛津大学的教授共同授课,面向全世界的青年教师和学生招收学员,激发和培养学员对于藏学的兴趣,帮助学员提高藏文和梵文等专业语言能力,引导学员针对专题开展研讨,提升研究水平和能力。

 

招收对象和条件:

1,国内外高校和研究机构的青年教师、博士后、研究生和本科生;

2,年龄45岁以下、有志于从事藏学研究者;

3,有一定藏文或梵文基础,汉语、英语流利。

 

课程设置:

每周一、三、五: 上午9:00-11:30

① 课名:高级藏文文献原典研读【释迦却丹(1428-1507)文选研读】

授课:范德康教授(哈佛大学藏学与喜马拉雅研究教授、南亚系、内亚系主任)

助教:嘎尔让副教授(四川大学中国藏学研究所副教授,科罗拉多大学博士)

 

每周二、四、六:上午9:00-11:30

② 课名:中级藏文文献原典研读【智慧空行母索南珍第三世转世曲吉准玛传(1422-1455)

授课:海德噶·丁伯格教授(剑桥大学蒙古内亚研究所所长、国际藏学会秘书长)

助教:玉珠措姆副教授(四川大学中国藏学研究所副教授,哈佛大学博士)

 

每周二、五:下午1:30-3:30

③ 课名:藏学专题研讨

自习与辅导:

每周一至周六晚上5:40-9:40       自习

                 晚上7:00-9:00       将有辅导教师进行答疑和辅导

报名须知:

1.学员可注册四门课程中的任一门或全部,每门课程注册人数不超过25人。

2.申请学员请填写附件表格,提供详细信息,在校学生需要提供导师或所在学院推荐信,择优择需录取。

3.研习营不收取学费和杂费,承办方将提供学习所用资料、资料室使用便利和自习场所。

4.学员食宿费、交通费自理。

5.注册申请截止日期:2018年6月15日。

The First Training Program on Tibetan and Sanskrit Reading

to be held at Sichuan University

 

 

The first Training Program on Tibetan and Sanskrit Reading sponsored by the Research Center for the Study of West China at Sichuan University for doing Collaborative Research with the J. K. Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University will take place at Sichuan University from July 1 to July 15, 2018. It is organized by the Center for Tibetan Studies of Sichuan University (CTS of SCU).

 

The training program will be jointly taught by professors from Sichuan, Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford universities, and will recruit young instructors, post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students from around the world. It aims to arouse and develop students’ interests in Tibetan Studies, to help students improve their Tibetan and Sanskrit language ability, and to guide students to engage in discussions of academic topics.

 

Eligibility and Prerequisite:

  1. All young instructors, post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students under the age of 45 from universities and academic institutions in China and abroad, who are engaged in Tibetan Studies, are eligible to apply.
  2. They are required to have some basic understanding of Tibetan or Sanskrit, and to be influent in Chinese and English.

 Registration:

  1. Students can register for one of the four courses or for all four, and the number of students for each course is no more than 25.
  2. Every applicant is required to submit the attached form. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcomed to provide a recommend letter from their advisor.
  3. All applicants are exempt from tuition fees. The organizers will provide reading materials, classrooms and access to the library of the Center for Tibetan Studies of SCU.
  4. All applicants will be responsible for their transportation to and from Chengdu and their room and board.
