2020年11月，我院与计算机学院合作研发“可视化智慧校园服务平台”项目，在刘俊老师、熊运余老师、金培老师、南英老师的辛勤指导下，参与项目的中外合作学生团队在“成渝经济圈外国留学生创新创业大赛”中荣获三等奖。

    On Nov. 12^th 2020, a team consisting of International and Chinese students won the third prize in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Innovation Competion for International Students. Their project, AliveU- the Smart Campus Service Platform, was advised by Prof. Liu Jun, Dr. Xiong yunyu, Ms. Jin Pei, Dr. Nan Ying in Sichuan University.

    长期以来，我院为提高人才培养质量不断进行教学改革，积极创新教学方法，持续落实改革举措，在不懈努力之下，取得了令人满意的成效。此次竞赛获奖体现了我院进行教学改革的三个重要举措。第一个举措改革本科实习，在行业实习基础上新增科研实习，使得学生能够参与老师的科研项目，培养学生的科研与创新能力。第二个举措是促进中国学生与外国学生的合作，使得学生在合作中共同更新观念、拓宽视野，树立国际合作思维。第三个举措是推进学生的创新创业实践，鼓励多专业合作创新创业，支持校企合作进行技术研发、成果转化，为学生提供实战机会，使学生提升知识技能和素养，得到全方位的锻炼和市场检验，进一步提高学生的创新创业能力。

    This achievement is an outcome of education innovation and reform which has been carried out for years in our school. Apart from traditional industrial placement, we set up research internship for undergraduate students intending for further study. Students elected can join with the professors’ projects therefore to enhance the research ability.  In activities like this competition, international and Chinese students opportunities to collaborate and learn from each other, hence refreshed their insights and broadened their horizon.  Meanwhile, this project is a joint fruit between majors, and between schools and companies. It provided opportunities for students to transfer their thoughts and ideas into practice.

   此次竞赛由重庆市人力资源和社会保障局，重庆市教育委员会，四川省人力资源和社会保障厅，以及四川省教育厅主办，是首次面向留学生群体的双创竞赛。不巧的是，受疫情影响我院留学生大多留滞在海外，旅游管理专业目前在成都留学生的不过十人，而且所有留学生中无一人有过竞赛经验。面对这个全新的挑战，旅游管理专业刘俊教授为项目的确定提供了决定性思路，金培老师和南英老师根据学业表现，选择了几位优秀留学生，鼓励他们参与竞赛。2017级Dimuth, 2018级Lim Zhi Yin, Choo Wei Xin, 和Rebecca Martha Dorothy Horlick毅然接受了这一挑战，中国本科学生冯冰负责总体分工协调。

   Organized by Chongqing Human Resource and Social Security Bureau, Chongqing Educational Commitee, Sichuan Department of Human Resource and Social Security，and Sichuan Department of Education, this is the first innovation and creation competition ever held among international students. Unfortunately most of our international students were at their home overseas due to the pandemic. Not to mention that none of them have had any experience in such competition. Prof. Liu Jun offered constructive opinions for the idea of the project. Ms. Jin and Dr. Nan from the department of International Tourism and Hospitality nominated some outstanding students based on their academic performance and encourage them to have a try. Despite those difficulties, Horagampita Dimuth Tharaka Gamage from batch 2017, Lim Zhi Yin, Khoo Wei Xin, and Rebecca Martha Dorothy Horlick from batch 2018 took the challenge. Feng Bing, a Chinese undergraduate student was assigned as team leader.

    在学院和国际处领导的大力支持下，我们的项目从49所重庆高校、59所四川高校报送的项目中突围而出，进入决赛，又在经过二十天的紧张准备后，在决赛环节荣获三等奖，这也是我院学生首次在留学生为主体的竞赛中获奖。

    With great support from dean of the school and head of the International Office, the team battled against 49 projects from Chongqing and 59 from Sichuan, and entered the final round. After another half-month training and preparation, the team won the third prize in the final. This is the first time our international students in the tourism school winning a group prize in a competition.
